This plan aims to get a time crunched athlete ready to perform at the half IM distance with maximum efficiency from the training hours. If you want to maintain life balance and can commit to between 7-12 hours a week, have a good base level of fitness in all 3 disciplines - this plan will help you get race fit with a variety of specific sessions including functional strength work, and bike - run sessions early on in the programme.
It is assumed that you have access to a swim squad 1 x week and I've included a second swim session with more detail if required. If you are unable to complete the swim sessions swap out for a yoga class, an easy cycle or just do what you can in the pool and stay within capacity.
