A 16 week training plan for the TARAWERA 100km Ultra (or any 100km trail ultra) comprising of 3-4 runs a week (efficiency focused during the week with a long slow run on trail terrain on the weekend) + swimming and cycling to help give variety and decrease the chance of injury.

This plan starts with 4.5 hours training a week and maxes out at 13 hrs 3 weeks before the race. If you are looking for a fun, time efficient way to get race ready for the TARAWERA 100k -this is it. ENJOY.
